Hook with Warsash Academy was in Wonderland as their phenomenal performances stunned audiences with their production of Alice in Wonderland.
Pupils performed the classic story in the show at Ferneham Hall where Alice follows a white rabbit – who is late for an unknown event – and falls down the animal’s burrow hole into a fantasy world of bizarre adventures.
She meets a mix of unusual characters, and has a run-in with the firey Queen of Hearts.
The three productions were a sell-out, which delighted the performers and the audience members.
Headteacher Chris Hines said: “It was a marvellous experience for the children having never had a real theatre experience.”
He commended Scenic Property, a company based in Wales who helped with the staging.
Mr Hines added:“A company brought in the props and equipment for us to use on the day like the shrinking and enlarging door, so the children only really had one dress rehearsal before the real thing.
“But they were fabulous and knowing that we sold out on all three dates shows us how successful it was.”
The school has been entertaining families with its shows over the past 12 years.
